  • 1/2 cup soy sauce preferably low sodium
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon green onions chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, gochujang, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Whisk together until the brown sugar is fully dissolved and all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more gochujang for heat or sugar for sweetness.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
