Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar; beat until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Mix in your eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and baking soda.
  5. Gradually fold this dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Carefully stir in coarsely chopped walnuts and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop dough balls onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
  9. Let them cool slightly before transferring them onto wire racks.
