Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard washed and chopped
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper diced
Beans
  • 2 cans cannellini beans drained and rinsed
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

Cooking the Vegetables
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chopped Swiss chard and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
Adding Beans
  1. Add the drained cannellini beans to the skillet, and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  2. Cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as a main dish or side, garnished with additional red pepper flakes if desired.
