  • 1 cup Long-Grain Rice High-quality long-grain rice or jasmine.
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Canned for convenience.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped finely.
  • 1 medium Bell Pepper Any color, chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth Low-sodium.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro Optional, for garnish.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Gather all the ingredients on your countertop.
  2. In your rice cooker on 'sauté' mode, heat some oil and toss in chopped onions and bell peppers until softened and aromatic.
  3. Stir in minced garlic along with cumin and paprika until fragrant.
  4. Add rinsed long-grain rice into the pot, followed by tomato sauce and chicken broth. Mix everything well until combined.
  5. Close the lid of your rice cooker and set it to cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Once done cooking, let it sit briefly before fluffing with a fork. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired before serving.
