Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add the egg, salt, and flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Filling
- In a small bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Assemble the Rolls
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread the softened butter over the dough, then evenly distribute the strawberry mixture on top.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut into 8 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
Bake the Rolls
- Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Glaze and Serve
- While the rolls are baking, whisk together the glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
