Ingredients
  

Burger Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20) Chilled
Burger Assembly
  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese Optional
  • 4 buns Burger Buns Toasted
  • 1 cup Lettuce Shredded
  • 1 tomato Tomato Sliced
  • 4 slices Pickles Optional
  • 4 tablespoons Ketchup To taste
  • 4 tablespoons Mustard To taste

Method
 

Prepare the Patties
  1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently form them into loose balls. Do not overwork the meat.
Cook the Burgers
  1. Preheat the griddle or skillet over high heat until very hot. Place the beef balls on the hot surface and immediately smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties.
  2. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are browned and crispy. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese if desired, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Assemble the Burgers
  1. Toast the burger buns on the griddle for about 1 minute. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
