Ingredients
  

Tuna
  • 4 oz Ahi Tuna Steaks Fresh, sushi-grade
Marinade
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Low sodium recommended
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Grated
Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds Toasted
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Chopped

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
Marinate the Tuna
  1. Place the Ahi tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Sear the Tuna
  1. Heat a skillet over high heat. Remove tuna from marinade and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, until the outside is browned but the inside remains rare.
Serve
  1. Slice the seared tuna against the grain and serve garnished with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
