Ingredients
  

Ahi Tuna
  • 4 fillets Ahi tuna about 6 oz each
Marinade
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger freshly grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice freshly squeezed
Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 scallions scallions sliced

Method
 

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and lime juice.
Marinate the Tuna
  1. Place the Ahi tuna fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
Sear the Tuna
  1. Heat a skillet over high heat. Remove the tuna from the marinade and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side, until the outside is browned but the inside is rare.
Serve
  1. Slice the tuna against the grain and serve garnished with sesame seeds and scallions.
