Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 oz provolone cheese or Cheez Whiz
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and bell peppers; cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and break it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, approximately another 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic along with salt and pepper; sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Reduce heat to low and layer cheese over the beef mixture. Cover the skillet for about 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted.
  5. Mix everything together before serving hot.
