Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups stale bread cubes about 1 loaf
  • 1 cup low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh sage chopped
  • ½ cup unsalted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Sauté the onion and celery until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine stale bread cubes with sautéed veggies.
  4. Gradually pour in vegetable broth while mixing until bread is moistened but not soggy.
  5. Add fresh herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste; mix well.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
