Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup, drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until well mixed.
Prepare the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
  2. Spoon the topping mixture evenly over the peaches.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  4. Let cool slightly before serving.
