  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Oil for frying about 1 cup

Method
 

  1. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp to ensure crispiness.
  2. Set up a breading station: one bowl with flour mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder; another with beaten eggs; and a third filled with Panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Coat each shrimp first in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg wash, and finally roll in Panko breadcrumbs until well coated.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot (test readiness with a breadcrumb).
  5. Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
