Ingredients

Soufflé Ingredients
  • 4 oz Dark Chocolate Use high-quality dark chocolate with at least 70% cacao.
  • 4 large Egg Whites Fresh egg whites at room temperature.
  • 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar Adds sweetness without overpowering.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Pure vanilla extract enhances flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder Unsweetened cocoa powder for depth.
  • as needed Cooking Spray For greasing ramekins.

Method

Prepare Your Ramekins
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and generously spray four ramekins with cooking spray. Dust them lightly with cocoa powder.
Melt the Chocolate
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth and glossy.
Whip Up Those Egg Whites
  1. In a clean bowl, whisk egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks hold their shape.
Combine Ingredients Gently
  1. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped egg whites gently using a spatula, being careful not to deflate the air bubbles.
Add Vanilla and Cocoa Powder
  1. Stir in vanilla extract and sifted cocoa powder until just combined.
Bake Your Soufflés
  1. Pour the batter into prepared ramekins and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until puffed and set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
