Ingredients
  

Broccoli
  • 1 lb broccoli florets fresh
Sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds toasted
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated

Method
 

Prepare the Broccoli
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  2. Drain the broccoli and immediately transfer it to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again after a few minutes.
Make the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and toasted sesame seeds until well combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Toss the blanched broccoli with the sauce until evenly coated. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for a refreshing cold side dish.

Notes
