Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes
Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 medium jalapeños (seeded and diced)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 pkg egg roll wrappers
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Method

  1. Mix the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine 8 oz of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 2 medium diced jalapeños, 1 tbsp garlic powder, and 1 tbsp onion powder. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  2. Prepare the Wrapper: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the delicious filling in the center to get ready for rolling.
  3. Roll It Up: Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly to seal your egg roll. Use a little water to help seal the edges and keep everything inside!
  4. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan or deep fryer, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium heat until it shimmers, around 350°F.
  5. Fry Until Golden: Carefully place the egg rolls in batches into the hot oil. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes per side until they're golden brown and irresistibly crispy.
  6. Drain and Serve: Remove from the oil and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or spicy mayo for an extra kick!
