Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups water for blending
  • 1 cup whole milk or almond milk
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes for serving

Method
 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until clear. Soak in water overnight (or for at least 4 hours).
  2. Drain the soaked rice and blend with 2 cups of fresh water and cinnamon sticks until coarse.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or pitcher.
  4. Mix in the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
  5. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving over ice with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
