Ingredients
  

  • 1 package 16 oz phyllo dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pistachios
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup honey plus extra for drizzling
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush a 9-inch springform pan with melted butter and layer several sheets of phyllo dough in the pan, brushing each layer with more butter.
  2. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly on top of the layered phyllo base.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, honey, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour cheesecake filling over the nut-covered phyllo base and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until set but slightly wobbly in the center. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Drizzle with honey before serving.
