Ingredients
  

Dressing Base
  • 1 cup olive oil extra virgin recommended
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic minced
Herbs and Spices
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional, to balance acidity

Method
 

Combine Ingredients
  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until well combined.
  2. Add dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar (if using) to the bowl and whisk until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Store Dressing
  1. Transfer the dressing to a jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  2. Shake well before using and enjoy on your favorite salads.

Notes
