Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic for about 5 minutes until soft. Add chopped mushrooms; cook until moisture evaporates.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sautéed veggies with ground beef, salt, pepper, and Dijon mustard until well mixed.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  5. Spread Dijon mustard on the pastry. Place the beef mixture in the center and fold over edges to secure.
  6. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
