Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes peeled and cubed
Dairy
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream warmed
Seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Method
 

Prepare the Potatoes
  1. Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water.
  2. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Mash the Potatoes
  1. Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the pot.
  2. Add the minced garlic, butter, and warmed cream to the potatoes.
  3. Mash until smooth and creamy, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper.
