Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 6 oz corn tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and mix in taco seasoning and diced tomatoes.
  3. In the greased baking dish, layer half of the tortilla chips, followed by half of the meat mixture and half of the cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving; top with sour cream if desired.
