Ingredients
  

Bagel Dough
  • 2 cups Gluten-free all-purpose flour Make sure it contains xanthan gum
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 cup Warm water About 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
Toppings
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds Optional
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy seeds Optional

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
Shape the Bagels
  1. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
  2. Roll each piece into a ball and then poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.
Boil the Bagels
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Carefully drop the bagels into the boiling water, cooking for 1-2 minutes on each side.
  3. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake the Bagels
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Sprinkle the bagels with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
