Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla until just combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until no flour pockets remain.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft. Cool on wire racks.
