Method
Prepare the Chicken
- In a mixing bowl, combine the buttermilk, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Coat and Bake
- In a separate bowl, place the flour. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, and coat each piece in flour.
- Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
Make the Sauce
- In a small saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, and hot sauce. Heat over low heat until warmed through.
Assemble the Tacos
- In a large bowl, toss the baked chicken with the hot honey BBQ sauce until well coated.
- To assemble, place a portion of the chicken in each tortilla and top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and cilantro.
