  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Boil water in a large pot, add half of the elbow macaroni (8 oz), and cook until al dente (about 6-7 minutes). Drain.
  2. In the slow cooker set on low heat, combine the drained pasta with cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, melted butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2-3 hours until all cheeses melt into a creamy sauce.
  4. Stir occasionally every 30 minutes for an even texture. Adjust creaminess by adding more milk if necessary.
  5. Serve warm and garnish with extra cheese or fresh herbs as desired.
