Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup whole milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in milk.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet until just mixed.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle with additional cinnamon-sugar if desired, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
