Method
Prepare the Bread
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cut the bread into cubes and place them in the prepared baking dish.
Make the Custard
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread cubes, pressing down gently to soak the bread.
Prepare the Cobbler Topping
- In a separate bowl, combine the mixed berries, lemon juice, cornstarch, and brown sugar. Mix gently.
- Spread the berry mixture over the soaked bread in the baking dish.
Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden and the custard is set.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm.
