Method
 

Making the Sauce
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper, adjusting to taste.
  5. Remove from heat and serve immediately over pasta.
