Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 1 pound
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Method
 

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine yogurt, garlic-ginger paste, cumin, coriander, garam masala, salt, and pepper. Add diced chicken and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken in batches and sear until golden brown (about five minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes and remaining garlic-ginger paste. Simmer for about ten minutes until thickened.
  4. Combine chicken and sauce: Return seared chicken to the skillet, stir in heavy cream, and simmer on low heat for fifteen minutes until smooth.
  5. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh cilantro before serving with naan or basmati rice.
