Preparation
  1. Wash Swiss chard thoroughly under cold water to remove any grit. Pat dry gently using paper towels.
  2. Remove the thick stems from the chard and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Core and thinly slice the apples and toss them into the bowl alongside the chopped walnuts.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar until well combined.
  5. Drizzle the dressing over the chard mixture and toss gently until everything is coated evenly.
  6. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese on top of the salad just before serving.
