Ingredients

Pastry Dough
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Sifted for even texture
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Water Plain water from the tap
  • 4 large Eggs Room temperature
Filling
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust based on apple's tartness
  • 2 cups Fresh Apples Tart varieties like Granny Smith, diced finely
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened for smooth blending
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream Lightly whipped and kept cold
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon Enhances warmth and depth
  • 1/2 cup Caramel Sauce Store-bought or homemade

Method

Prepare Your Pastry Dough
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) while bringing water and butter to boil in a saucepan. Once boiling, stir in flour until it forms a ball.
Add Eggs Gradually
  1. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before adding eggs one at a time. Mix vigorously after each addition until smooth and glossy.
Form Your Puffs
  1. Use a piping bag or spoon to drop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
Bake Until Golden Brown
  1. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed. Don’t open the oven door too early—let them rise without interruption!
Make Your Filling While They Cool
  1. In a bowl, mix diced apples with sugar and cinnamon until well combined. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth before folding in whipped cream.
Assemble Your Cream Puffs!
  1. Once cooled, carefully slice each puff in half horizontally. Spoon in apple mixture and drizzle with caramel sauce before topping with puff lids.
