Ingredients
  

Croissants
  • 4 pieces croissants preferably day-old
Berries
  • 1 cup mixed berries such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries
Custard
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk whole or 2%
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Topping
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the mixed berries evenly over the croissant pieces.
Custard Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  2. Pour the custard mixture over the croissants and berries, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
