Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound beef tips sirloin or chuck
  • 1 medium sweet onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef tips until browned on all sides; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Remove beef and sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until soft.
  3. Sprinkle flour over onions and garlic; stir for two minutes before gradually whisking in broth.
  4. Return beef to the skillet, add Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 20 minutes.
  5. For thicker gravy, remove the lid during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice, drizzling extra sauce on top.
