Ingredients
  

  • 2-3 pounds pork or beef shank
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin powder
  • Fresh parsley or dill for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare the Broth: In a large pot, cover the pork or beef shank with water. Add carrots, onion, and garlic; bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer: Reduce heat to low, skim foam from the surface, and simmer for about 3 hours until the meat is tender.
  3. Strain: Remove meat and strain broth into another pot; discard solids.
  4. Add Gelatin: Reheat strained broth until warm but not boiling; sprinkle in gelatin and stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Assemble: Chop cooked meat and arrange it in molds; pour gelled broth over meat until fully covered.
  6. Chill: Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours until set.
