Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese sliced
  • 1 medium fresh apple e.g., Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet. Layer with cheddar cheese, apple slices, and dried cranberries. Top with another slice of cheddar and the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  4. Grill for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip and grill the other side until golden and cheese melts.
  5. Transfer to a cutting board, let cool slightly, slice in half, and serve warm.
