Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil plus extra for brushing
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for coating

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil; bring to a gentle boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour and baking powder until a dough forms.
  2. Let the dough cool slightly, then transfer it into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and line the basket with parchment paper.
  4. Pipe strips of dough about four inches long into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each churro; cut off each piece after piping.
  5. Lightly brush each churro with vegetable oil before air frying.
  6. Air fry for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
